Debra Lee to Speak at USC Communication School Graduation
Debra Lee has been announced as the speaker for the USC Annenberg School of Communication commencement ceremony, the Daily Trojan reports. The BET Networks chairman and CEO will offer insights and advice from her nearly three decades-long career at the network.
A graduate of Brown University and holding master's degrees from both Harvard University's School of Public Policy and Harvard Law School, Lee is one of the most accomplished people in media and one of the few Black women to stand at the head of a publicly traded company. Under her stewardship, BET has reached new heights in quality original programming, community service and ratings.
Lee will be joined on the commencement stage by Jorge Ramos, anchor for Univision and Fusion networks, who will speak at the School of Journalism graduation ceremony.
The commencement will take place on May 15 on the University of Southern California campus in Los Angeles.
