50 Cent Shuts Down the Money Team
50 Cent and Floyd Mayweather Jr.'s Money Team is no more.
So says Fif himself in a series of tweets last night revealing that the boxing promotions company, a partnership between the rapper and the undefeated boxer, has been disbanded.
"TMT IS OVER the money team is no longer a team," he wrote.
In further tweets, 50 indicated that the business's abrupt dissolution was the result of Mayweather failing to follow through with his financial obligations. He said he had moved the boxers signed to TMT to a new company called SMS Promotions, apparently named after his headphones company SMS Audio.
"I move the fighters to SMSpromotion cause the other half of the money team didn't put up there [sic] $MONEY$," he wrote.
50 started TMT with Mayweather just this past July. Since then, however, rumors have surfaced that the two are involved in a quarrel. In September, the G-Unit boss was said to be working on starting a new company with Mayweather rival Manny Pacquiao.
