GloRilla Reveals Her Hip-Hop Mt. Rushmore and Dream Collaborations on 'Club Shay Shay'
Rapper GloRilla is the latest celebrity to sit on the leather couch across from Shannon Sharpe on “Club Shay Shay.” Glo had no controversial or polarizing revelations unless you count her rapper Mt. Rushmore. Sharpe asked the “Yeah Glo!” rapper to share her thoughts on which rappers would be in her Mt. Rushmore, and GloRilla said, "Lil Wayne, Drake, Eminem and Jay-Z.”
When Sharpe gave GloRilla guidelines, telling her that she could pick rappers from the past or current, GloRilla said, “I’m only 24, so like uhm, I can’t say rappers that were before me because I don't know their music.”
Glo isn’t a crate-digging, well-researched rapper. She likes today's lyricists. Glo confidently said, “I feel like Lil’ Wayne is one of the best rappers in the world.”
After thinking about her Mt. Rushmore a bit more, Glo added Chief Keef. She wanted to be certain: “My favorites…I don’t think [are] the best.” Then she doubled down on her top four: Lil’ Wayne, Drake, Eminem, and Jay-Z.
She also shared her dream collaborations; number one was Beyoncé. “Number two would be…” GloRilla had to pause and think. “Ok, we got Beyoncé…Drake! Lil’ Wayne, I love them. Future and Chief Keef,” she said definitively.
GloRilla said growing up on Beyoncé has made the megastar her favorite artist. Drake and Lil’ Wayne are “lyrical beasts” and Chief Keef is “young and turnt” and Future, to Glo, is the G.O.A.T.
GloRilla’s latest project, “Ehhthang Ehhthang,” is slated to drop on Friday (April 5). This album will feature artists Moneybagg Yo, Megan Thee Stallion, Finesse2tymes, Boston Richey and more. Yeah, Glo!
