Waka Flocka Flame called his last album Triple F Life: Friends, Fans & Family. But after a series of tweets and interviews, it’s clear that his former mentor Gucci Mane isn’t any one of those things to Waka anymore.

On March 15, Gucci tweeted that he had kicked Waka off his record label. "Waka flacka flames officially dropped off brick squad 1017," he wrote. "Big Guwop say give me a offer fa this disloyal lil n----." Days later — recalling the claims of Mobb Deep’s Havoc when he seemed to tweet insults about his bandmate Prodigy — reps for the rapper insisted that his Twitter had been hacked.

But in an interview with MTV, Waka shot down those claims. "Nah, that Twitter wasn't hacked, because we had a conversation before that. Real aggressive words like, 'N---a let's get up, let's do this,'" Waka said.

Waka insists he doesn’t know why Gucci would call him disloyal. "I don't know. Honest to God truth, I don't know because I'm the loyalest person you could ever see. I took on a man's beef, risked my life, hung out the window, risked my freedom. I never backed in a corner," he said, referring to his involvement in Gucci Mane and Young Jeezy's violent beef. "It can't be nothing but jealousy or something, because there is nothing I did disloyal."

Flocka says his ownership stakes in Gucci's Brick Squad 1017 label and his own Brick Squad Monopoly label mean that Gucci can’t get rid of him that easily. "I own a percentage of Brick Squad 1017 and I own 100% of Brick Squad Monopoly," he said. "You can't kick the boss out." On top of all that, Gucci Mane is managed by Flocka's mom, Deb Antney.

Regardless, Waka vowed he won’t ever work with Gucci again, musically or otherwise. "It ain't gonna never be no business, ever in life. No music or nothing," he said. "I don't feel nothing he say out his mouth. It ain't real."

Waka also criticized Gucci for a recent incident in which he was accused of assaulting a fan. "He's bad vibes around me," he said. "I greet fans; he punches fans. It's a difference."

Nonetheless, Waka Flocka hopes his former mentor and friend could put his legal troubles behind him. "I don't wish jail or death on nobody. That's foul," he said.
