Watch: Nick Young Nearly Had a Jason Pierre-Paul Fireworks Incident

Smarten up, Swaggy P.

One would think that Jason Pierre-Paul's gruesome fireworks injury would put everyone on notice to proceed with extreme caution when it comes to Fourth of July festivities.

After all, the New York Giants defensive end had his right index finger completely amputated and portion of his right thumb and middle finger blown off as a result of his firework-related injury he suffered last July.

Well, Nick Young didn't take heed to the injury and nearly had a Fourth of July fireworks disaster of his own Monday.

As shown in this Snapchat story, Swaggy P damn near blew off his hand setting off fireworks.

Shaking our heads. Come on, Nick. Smarten up. A fireworks injury nearly cost Pierre-Paul's career and yet you risked doing the same?

What's worse about Nick's timing is that Pierre-Paul released a fireworks PSA in the days leading up to the holiday.

Perhaps Swaggy P didn't see it. Either that or he thinks he can't get got out here.

Nick, you've gotta be smarter than that, man.
