On Wednesday (January 30), BET announced the official lineup for the 2019 BET Experience festivities going down in L.A. for its annual award season.

The pre-BET Awards series of events brings forth hip-hop and R&B’s hottest talents to grace the stage and keep the weekend turned to the max as Hollywood anticipates who will take home the biggest wins at the awards show. Thus, Bronx’s Trap Selena a.k.a. Cardi B and femcee icon Nicki Minaj are more than qualified to take the BET Experience stages—while Bardi Gang and Barbie Twitter load up the shotguns. Both ladies made huge marks in 2018 with the release of Cardi’s now-Grammy-nodded Invasion of Privacy debut album and another platinum plaque for Nicki to add to the collection with her fourth studio undertaking, Queen. Unfortunately, they also made huge headline buzz as well after their silent war came to blows (and shoe throws) during New York Fashion Week. After a subsequent Instagram and Twitter showdown, the New York femcees didn’t quite extend olive branches to one another, but did wave their white flags to signal a final armistice. The fans, on the other hand, did not sign off on that truce, and now that they’ve learned their leaders will cross paths yet again, they’re gearing up against each other for yet another Battle of the Barbz and Bardi Gang clash for 2019.
