Nick Cannon Apologizes To Mothers Of His Kids Amid 8th Baby Announcement
Nick Cannon has apologized to the mothers of his kids for how he chose to announce that he is expecting his eighth child.
On his Monday (Jan. 31) episode of his talk show, Cannon confirmed that he and model Bre Tiesi are expecting a baby boy together. The news comes less than two months after he and Alyssa Scott lost their son Zen to brain cancer in early Dec. 2021.
According to PEOPLE, Cannon issued an apology on air on his Thursday (Feb. 3) episode.
“I misspoke and probably went too much into detail on Monday expressing my feelings, and it probably felt like I was making some comparatives when talking about the passing of my son Zen and then also talking about the new child I'm expecting,” the 41-year-old explained.
Adding: “I didn't need to do that because those are two completely separate moments in my life and they both deserve the respect.”
Moments after Cannon announced his latest baby news, Scott shared an emotional Instagram post about feeling “at peace” since the loss of their 5-month-old son, PEOPLE notes.
“I love her, I love my son Zen, and I always will,” Cannon continued during his apology. “And I'm gonna love my new child. I'm a responsible human being, and I take full responsibility for everything, so I must say I sincerely apologize to everyone involved for any extra pain or confusion that I may have caused.”
In addition to Zen, the talk show host shares twins Moroccan and Monroe,10, with his ex-wife Mariah Carey. He is also the father of son Golden, 4, daughter Powerful Queen, 1, with Brittany Bell. And in June 2021, the actor welcomed twins Zion and Zillion 7 months with Abby De La Rosa.
