Halle Berry fought one of the ugliest custody wars in Hollywood history with her ex-boyfriend Gabriel Aubry for her daughter Nahla, but hopefully she won't have to worry about that with her soon-to-be ex-husband Olivier Martinez over their son Maceo. 
The A-list couple, who surprised us all with an announcement this week that they were parting ways after two years of marriage, seemed to be gearing up for an ugly divorce when they each filed separate petitions to dissolve their marriage — a legal maneuver designed to give one party the upper hand over matters like custody. Halle actually filed two petitions, one under her alias "Hal Maria," and the other using her legal name. What's more, rumors have started spreading that the couples' "explosive" tempers may have had a big role in their split.
However, according to TMZ, both parties have vowed to keep cool heads when it comes to custody of their son, Maceo. Both filed for joint custody to keep things relatively amicable, and a source close to Martinez claims he has no interest in launching an Aubry-style custody battle because he witnessed first-hand how it impacted Nahla. What's more, the source says Martinez has no desire to move back to his native France, so the estranged couple will be able to co-parent in Los Angeles.
Still, a source tells People that if Martinez doesn't play nice with Berry's legal team, she will "absolutely" use his 2012 fight with her ex Aubry against him (remember, the one where they both wound up with bloodied faces?).
