Music Matters Returns to NYC With Ashley Kimbrae
Just two weeks after an unforgettable weekend in Dallas, BET Music Matters returns to the Big Apple with one of the BK's best kept secrets.
Gospel/R&B sweetheart Cocoa Sarai will headline the showcase where she will look to give her hometown crowd a sneak peak of what they can expect from their next budding superstars.
The vivacious young vixen's set will include hits from her critically acclaimed EP Half Past 7 as well as some of her new material.
Ashley Kimbrae, who shined bright at last week's Music Matters Jam Session at Mega Fest, will also be featured at the show, which takes place Tuesday (Sept. 10) at venerable New York music spot SOBs.
The "Drop 64" songstress released her debut EP, The Next Chapter, earlier this year and will perform a buzzworthy set that will include original hits as well as a few covers.
Ro James and Gourdan will be in the house as well.
The show starts at 8 p.m. with host Buttahman kicking things off at 7:30, when the doors open. DJ Maxy Gordy will be tearing it up behind the turntables.
Admission is free. The show is 21 and over, so don't forget your ID.
