Do blondes have more fun? Looks like Solange Knowles is keen to find out.

Taking a page from big sister Beyoncé’s book, Solange dropped a fresh IG pic to debut her latest style — a blonde baby 'fro.

But, she took it a step feature by going full-on platinum at a pop-up performance for designer Maryam Nassir Zadeh's show in New York.

Of course, we wanted to get the scoop on the big hair switch-up, so we spoke to her current hairstylist, Jawara Wauchope, who was behind the new look. 

“Solange is a style chameleon and can pull almost anything off,” Jawara told us this morning via phone. “She wanted to do a braided style for a while. So, together, we created a tribal-inspired style including three varied braid sizes, thread and beads.”

The result is bold, statement-making and chic all at the same damn time.

When we inquired why Solange decided to switch to blonde, Jawara replied, “People should be pushed to constantly evolve their style and not get stuck in one place.” We can’t wait to see what’s next in her hair evolution.
