This 64 Year-Old Model Made Her New York Fashion Week Debut
Jo-Ani Johnson is proving that beauty has knows no age limits.
The 64 year-old made her NYFW debut over the weekend at Tome’s S/S’18 presentation—and stole the show.
The social and environmental responsibile brand featured an array of all shapes ad sizes, to promote inclusivity versus exclusivity on the runway this season.
If you are thinking Jo-Ani looks familiar, it might be because she went viral in the Allure video below earlier this year. Listen to her share more below:
After many attempts to conceal her gray shade, she eventually gave up — and moved on. "Then I met a young man who hated the blonde," she says. "He's now my husband. We just celebrated our 20th anniversary."
"My days are what is given to me and making the best of each and every one of them," she said when asked if she’d change anything. "And I don't know what tomorrow may bring. Some of us don't even get an opportunity to age.”
In a world where there’s a heavy focus on anti-aging, it’s a breath of fresh air to hear someone share why they are embracing their age instead of running from it!
Plus, it’s more receipts that black truly doesn’t crack. Checkmate!
