TMZ Sports is reporting that Nick Young is being sued for assaulting a man during a church league basketball game in Porter Ranch, California, on August 18.
According to the website, the Lakers' forward became enraged after not getting a foul call against Luis Solis. That's when Young allegedly flew off the handle and beat Solis down to the ground. The lawsuit also alleges that Young's teammates in the pickup game joined in, kicking Solis on the ground.
As a result of the alleged assault, Solis says he suffered a concussion. Although Solis has filed a lawsuit, he hasn't filed a police report as of press time, but told TMZ that he's considering it. The damages that Solis is seeking in his lawsuit are unspecified. The man maintains that Young has gotten violent in other church pickup games in the past, too.
Young, 31, is averaging 14.1 points per game for the Lakers this season, including this game-winning shot last week in which he stole a pass from his own teammate to drain the clutch shot.
