Look: Carmelo Anthony Clapped Back at SLAM Over How They Ranked Him
Is Carmelo Anthony a top 10 NBA player entering the 2016-17 season?
SLAM doesn't seem to think so, placing him No. 15 on its Top 50 player rankings Wednesday.
Needless to say, Melo wasn't feeling that at all. The New York Knicks' nine-time All-Star forward didn't waste time clapping back at the magazine, sliding into the publication's Instagram mentions and letting them know exactly how he felt about his No. 15 ranking.
Upon learning of his placement, Melo wrote, "don't play yaself," aimed at SLAM.
Ten minutes later, Melo added: "All credibility lost in my [looking eyes emoji]."
Melo averaged 21.8 points per game last season, which was his lowest ppg average since the 2004-05 season. Yet, he remained within the top 15 players for scoring throughout the league.
Did SLAM get it wrong with ranking Melo as the 15th best player in the league entering the 2016-17 season? Or does he deserve to be higher up that list?
