After a series of canceled dates and postponed shows, Janet Jackson has today (April 6) announced a new “sudden change” to her forthcoming tour plans.

Jackson, with a smile, told fans that she will be putting her tour dates on hold while her and her husband, Wissam Al Mana, are planning their family.

While there was no news regarding a pregnancy, Jackson kept her announcement both mysterious and joyful. While postponing her tour in the past citing her health and an undisclosed surgery, Jackson came forward to deny rumors of cancer that had been circulating. She then re-announced that the tour would resume May 14, which is why she states a “sudden change” in her announcement today. 

"My husband and I are planning our family, so I'm going to have to delay the tour,” she says in her video update to fans. “Please, if you can, try to understand that it's important that I do this now. I have to rest up; doctor's orders. But I have not forgotten about you."

During the video, Jackson went on to thank her fans and her crew for their support and for bearing with her during these announcements and changes.

"Once again, thank you to all the fans for your love — your undying love; your loyalty. That means so much to me," Jackson continued. "You're truly appreciated. It's been a long journey and you guys have been there each and every step of the way and I really do appreciate that. Thank you so much ... I will see you soon. "
