J. Cole Visits a Fan Battling Cancer in a North Carolina Hospital
J. Cole has been all around the world but everyone knows the pride he has for his home state and his fans. That’s why he recently stopped by a hospital in his hometown of Fayetteville, N.C., to visit a fan and uplift his spirits.
Tae Stackhouse, who is battling cancer, had the Dreamville emcee swing by and chill with him after his aunt reached out and requested a visit from her nephew’s favorite rapper.
“I really appreciate this just wanna give a big s/o to my mom and my aunt for bringing my favorite rapper to see me,” he wrote on his Facebook page. “I’m proud to say that I’m blessed even tho I have cancer he told me to keep positive so that’s what Ima do thanks j.cole #RoleModel.”
J. Cole never told anyone publicly that he did this, further proving his act was altruistic. The hospital visit apparently comes after some other rough occurrences Stackhouse was dealt in 2015. According to other posts on the same Facebook page, he lost his daughter and had to battle unrelated legal troubles.
This isn’t the first time the Roc Nation rapper has gone out of his way for his fans. Last year prior to Thanksgiving, he popped up at a Dallas fan’s home to give her a private listening session of his then forthcoming album, 2014 Forest Hills Drive. More recently he attended the high school graduation of a New Jersey fan who told him he inspired her to go to college. Bravo, Cole.
