Game Says He's Going to Jail 'Sooner or Later' for Punching Off-Duty Cop
Game expects to go to jail “sooner or later” for punching an off-duty cop during a charity basketball game earlier in the year. In an interview with Sway’s Universe the West Coaster opened up about the incident, amid discussing his Documentary 2 album.
“The police thing, that was a poor decision on my part,” he admitted. “Number 1, I didn’t know he was a police office. He wasn’t talking like he was a police officer. He was talking crazy, and he was throwing me jabs, man. I got tired of it and made a bad decision that iIm going to have to pay for with some jail time.”
Hitting the rookie cop, who was dressed in plain clothes, and reportedly threatened him, made the Compton native fall back on fighting. “I think that was the last straw with me putting hands on people.”
Game pleaded not guilty to charges stemming from the fight. He has faith in his legal team, even though he expects to get “like three years,” over the brawl. “We’re gonna go in there with a good team and we’re gonna do what we can.”
