Fans don’t always get to see the hard work and long hours it takes to put together an album. Big Sean gave a peak at the sometimes arduous creative process in his new Dark Sky Paradise mini-documentary. 

The 12:00 minute black-and-white video mixes clips from different steps in the recording process, showing the long hours spent in the studio, and the meticulous way in which he approached each track off the Dark Sky Paradise album.

Jhené Aiko, and Travi$ Scott, who are both featured on the album, appear in the documentary as well. Scott gets particularly excited hearing their “All Your Fault” collaboration. “People listen to your bars bro," he says. "I can’t stress this enough. You are the best rapper!”

Sean’s third studio album was a major success, debuting atop Billboard, and like he told BET.com in February, he’s not in competition with anybody. “It’s a lot of stuff going on but the music speaks for itself,” he said. “You gotta' let the people choose.”
