Lauryn Hill Sends Acoustic Apology to Nigeria

Singer's May Day show in Lagos rescheduled over travel troubles.

Never let it be said that Lauryn Hill doesn't know how to say "I'm sorry." The singer apologized to her fans in Lagos, Nigeria after travel delays caused her to cancel her concert there with just about the greatest video we've seen in a while.
Hill, looking gorgeous in a black hat, sang an acoustic rendition of her classic hit "Doo Wop (That Thing)" with her background singers and a very special guest: her seven-year-old daughter Sarah Marley.

“Hello Lagos. Listen, we’re very sorry we couldn’t be there with you tonight. We were at the airport for seven hours yesterday trying to get to you. But we’re gonna make it there, we’re gonna get there. We wish everyone a wonderful evening, and we’re gonna leave you with this,” she says to camera before launching into the song.
Hill's Lagos performance wouldn't have been the first time she has performed in Africa. She previously held dates in Ghana and in South Africa for the Cape Town Jazz Festival.
