Game Claims Self Defense in Fight With Off-Duty Cop
The man who told police Game punched him at a basketball game Sunday (March 29) is an off-duty cop. TMZ reports that the accuser threatened to shoot the Compton MC during the Pro-Am pick-up game at Hollywood High School, which sparked the altercation.
Sources close to the rapper say the man elbowed Game in the back, and alluded to having a gun in his gym bag. The altercation escalated to Game punching the man, reportedly out of self defense.

Video footage from the fight doesn’t show the man attempting to swing, as Game claims. The victim says Game threatened his life, which the 35-year-old denies.
The man is allegedly a rookie LAPD officer, meaning that he could be reprimanded if Game’s side of the story proves true. Game might face battery for his role in the incident.
Authorities are investigating both sides.
