Report: Lil Wayne Readying Sorry 4 the Wait 2 Mixtape
Lil Wayne is cooking up an appetizer before the main course. According to Complex, the New Orleans rapper is working on a Sorry 4 the Wait 2 mixtape, to hold fans over until Tha Carter V drops.
Wayne’s crew made it known that the mixtape is on the way yesterday (Dec. 15), although there's no public release date (yet). Young Money's president, Mack Maine, threw in the mixtape by hashtagging an Instagram post with “Sorry4daWait2,” and YMCMB affiliate Fee Banks posted a photo with Wayne in the studio captioned, “Sorry 4 The Wait 2.”
As we know, the 32-year-old wants to call it quits with Cash Money Records, and after all the album delays he’s suffered this year, Weezy’s probably anxious for fans to hear some new work.
On the plus side, Tha Carter V won’t be held up for too much longer. The album is due to be released at the top of the year.
