Drake, Lil Wayne Announce Joint Tour
The joint tour idea is really catching on for the summer of 2014. Jay Z and Beyoncé, Eminem and Rihanna, and now Drake and Lil Wayne are hitting the road together.
The YMCMB affiliates are prepping the Drake vs. Lil Wayne tour, the Toronto rapper announced on Instagram Thursday (June 12). The 31-date run starts Aug. 8 in Buffalo, NY, and will make stops in cities including Charlotte, NC; Miami; Portland, ME; Philadelphia; Denver; and Los Angeles.
Additional dates are expected to be released depending on tickets sales, the Los Angeles Times reports.

Although Drake won't be promoting a new album on tour, Weezy is said to be releasing Tha Carter V, his 11th studio album, sometime this year. Drizzy's fourth LP will be out next year, according to a line from his "0 to 100" freestyle.
Wayne's last collective jaunt was the American's Most Wanted tour alongside T.I. in 2012. Drizzy recently wrapped up Would You Like a Tour? overseas in March, but he's still been making his rounds on the performance circuit. Earlier this month he and Wayne performed with Nicki Minaj at Hot 97's Summer Jam, and this weekend he begins the OVO-curated Houston Appreciation Weekend, and will hold his annual OVO fest starting August 3.
Tickets for the Drake vs. Lil Wayne tour go on sale via Ticketmaster June 20.
