OutKast to Headline Governors Ball Music Festival

Rap duo will helm event at New York City's Randall's Island Park.

OutKast is going full speed ahead in 2014.

Two months after the rap vets take on Coachella, they will headline the Governors Ball Music Festival kicking off in June, RollingStone.com reports. The multi-day shindig will feature a total of 80 acts, and is set for the Big Apple's Randall's Island Park June 6-8.

The festival has yet to announce additional names, and will drop lineup hints via its various social media outlets, according to the Governors Ball website. So far GV has tweeted a picture of Tupac and the Notorious B.I.G. with the caption "Just you wait," and an image of a family.

Nabbing OutKast is in line with other big hip-hop names to hit the festival over the years. Last year's show included Kanye West, Kendrick Lamar, and Nas sprinkled among an eclectic mix of artists from different genres.

However, 2014 is extra special for Andre 3000 and Big Boi's NYC fans, as the Governors Ball will commemorate the duo's first show in the city in 10 years.

With two giant announcements in less than 24 hours, the ATLiens could have even more in store for 2014. Big Boi possibly hinted at more big news to come, tweeting, "Stay Tuned! #Outkast #20," this afternoon.
