Lil Reese Arrested for Marijuana Possession

The rapper tells police, "I got a little weed. So what?"

Lil Reesenée Tavares Taylor, was arrested Saturday (July 13) for possession of $24 worth of cannabis and violating his bail bond, reports the Chicago Tribune

Police were on patrol in an area of Englewood, Calif., an area known for gang-related conflicts, and spotted Taylor standing on the sidewalk with persons known as gang members. Police report seeing Taylor drop the four grams of the drug on the ground when he saw them approaching. A search found he had more than $2,000 in cash on him.

The reporting officer then wrote that he admitted to having the drugs. "It's mine, I got a little weed. So what? ... There's serious crime out there. This ain't a big deal. I'm gangster,"

Taylor was denied a $10,000 bail.

This is the third time this year the 20-year-old Glory Boyz Entertainment/Def Jam signee has had a run-in with law enforcement. There was a warrant out for his arrest on criminal trespasing charges when he was caught sleeping in a car in Champaign County, Ill., back in April. Also that month, he was stopped in Chicago and charged with not signaling, driving without a license and driving without insurance.

Last year, he was tried in the court of public opinion when an old video of him beating a woman went viral.

According to a pic posted on his Twitter, the "I Don't Like" collaborator may have been in Englewood to shoot a video. The pic was linked to the note, "Cumin soon/FreeTheGuyz...#300."
