Is Nicki Minaj One and Done on American Idol ?

Insider claims Minaj won't return next season.

Nicki Minaj's short-lived tenure as American Idol judge will reportedly end after tonight's finale. Minaj hasn't confirmed her departure, but a source close to the rap star revealed the news to Us Weekly.
"It's safe to say she isn't coming back to Idol," the insider said. "She's OK with it. She had a great time but was only going to do one season anyway."
For weeks, rumors have been swirling that all four judges wouldn't be returning. Randy Jackson has already announced that this season will be his last, which leaves Mariah Carey and country star Keith Urban, both of whom have not publicly discussed their future with the long-running Fox singing competition.
Minaj is believed to have received between $8 to $12 million to do Idol, a hefty sum but miniscule compared to that of Carey, who joined the show for $18 million. Friction between the two erupted before the season even aired, with Minaj caught on tape yelling at the mother of two, who she has claimed intentionally egged her on. "For all the drama, I hope it helps the show," Carey told Barbara Walters last fall.

Unfortunately, the ongoing squabble had the exact opposite effect, doing nothing to improve dwindling ratings, which are down 20 percent from last season.
After lambasting her via Twitter recently, Minaj opened up about her rocky relationship with the songbird. "I just really thought were were friends," she told Ryan Seacrest. "But that's the other thing I learned, this industry is so fake."
