Kelly Rowland Reveals Destiny's Child Reunion...Sorta
Kelly Rowland has given Destiny’s Child’s fans a little something to look forward to. The R&B singer is gearing up for her 4th studio release, Talk a Good Game, and revealed to Billboard magazine some of the features on the album — including a song with Beyoncé and Michelle Williams. However, Kelly makes it clear that this isn’t exactly a Destiny’s Child reunion.
“It’s not a Destiny’s Child track, it’s me featuring Beyoncé and Michelle,” explained Rowland about the collab.
Still, this is a pleasant offering for D.C. fans, who have been anticipating more from the trio since their explosive reunion at Beyoncé’s Super Bowl halftime show back in February. It also leaves room to hope that an official reunion is still in the works.
Ms. Kelly also gave details on how she recorded about "70-something songs for this album" and had to chop it down to 12. Besides her track with her former group mates, Talk a Good Game will also include features from Wiz Khalifa and Pharrell.
Rowland’s album drops June 4 and has already created some buzz with the racy lead single "Kisses Down Low." Mike WILL Made It produced the buzzworthy lead single while Boy Wonder, T-Minus, The-Dream and Pharrell, again, also worked on tracks on the album.
