Yelawolf Hospitalized for Unknown Illness

The Alabama MC was forced to postpone upcoming show dates.

Yelawolf has been hospitalized in Wisconsin, forcing him to cancel a concert scheduled for tonight in Detroit. Promoter Live Nation told The Detroit News that the Shady Records rapper is recovering from an "illness," though the illness in question has not been specified.

"He remains under observation for illness," the company said in a statement. "At the request of his doctor, the show will be postponed to a later date."

Refunds for the concert, which was scheduled to take place at Detroit’s famed St. Andrews Hall, are available at point of purchase.

Yelawolf is in the middle of a six-month tour across North America that he began in January. The Alabama rapper recently released an EP called The Slumdon Bridge with UK singer/songwriter Ed Sheeran.
