Lil Boosie Pens Letter to Fans
It’s been a rough go for Lil Boosie over the past three years. The Baton Rouge, Louisiana rapper, who is currently serving an eight-year sentence on a drug conviction and is facing more serious murder charges, recently wrote a letter to fans expressing his appreciation for their support.
In his note, Boosie urged his supporters to continue sending their letters, as he would try to respond to as many as possible. He also gave them a brief update on his current trial situation.
“I go to trial in April for this murder charge so please keep me in your prayers,” the rapper wrote.
Boosie has been accused of participating in a murder plot that claimed the life of a former rap rival.
Along with his fans, the “Wipe Me Down” rapper also thanked hip hop stars Young Jeezy, Yo Gotti, Plies, and Webbie for holding him down during these trying times. He encouraged fans to go out and buy Jeezy’s latest album, Thug Motivation 103: Hustlerz Ambition.
Of course the letter was not complete without a few key promotional shout outs. Fans should be on the look out for a new album by Boosie’s young daughter Iviona, and a new compilation album and DVD from the rapper’s label Bad Azz Entertainment. His autobiography, The Truth, will also hit stores in 2012.
