Rapper Azealia Banks Flirts With Fashion for GQ ’s "Style Bible"
Azealia Banks’s name has been buzzing in the music industry lately and the rapper just scored style points from GQ with a spread in the magazine’s April 2012 “Style Bible” feature.
Banks poses for the pages in sheer corsets by Cadolle, bright shorts by LNA and Isabel Marant with fur pieces by J. Mendel and Michael Kors all while flirting with the camera.
In addition to claiming the budding emcee will be “running rap in 2012,” the magazine points out she’s already racked up a number of fashion-y fans. There’s Kanye West, who tapped her to perform during his second Paris Fashion Week Runway show earlier this month (she hit the stage in Fendi) and iconic designer Karl Lagerfeld, who hired her for a party at his home. Banks even caught the eye of Lady Gaga's style guru, Nicola Formichetti, who will direct Banks's next video.
Sounds like a good setup to be the next artist-turned-fashion darling!
