Taye Diggs Doesn't Care If You're Mad That His Son Is 'Mixed,' Not Black
Taye Diggs recently revealed that he doesn't want his son to be labeled as "Black," seeing as he comes from parents of different races. People weren't happy and he was slammed on social media. Well, Taye isn't done talking. The folks over at TMZ caught up with the actor and he set the record straight one last time.
"I want [my son] to be proud of who he is, and I want him to be able to, on his own terms, include both parents," he said. "So if anybody has an issue with that, then they can go fly a kite... I want my son to be able to choose what he wants to be referred to. I don't want him to disinclude [sic] his mother. His mother is white, his mother is a part of his make-up — and the buck stops there. It's that simple."
His son's mother is his ex-wife Idina Menzel.
