Donald Trump's 'Hotline Bling' Spoof Is Hilarious
Donald Trump, the leading Republican candidate for president, hosted Saturday Night Live last night amid protests from viewers. While most of his performance, which included just 12 minutes of on-air time, has been panned, there was one major highlight: his parody of Drake's now-infamous "Hotline Bling" video.
Jay Pharoah, playing Drake, opened up with a rewritten verse: "I know you make fun of my dance moves / Turn me into memes and gifs / But I'm proud of my dance moves / Because lots of people dance like this," he sang, before Trump showed off his two-step, electric slide and a bunch of other moves we've yet to name.
The rest of Trump's time on SNL mostly fell flat. The highlight of his opening monologue was Larry David's interruption, saying “Donald Trump is a racist” in response to DeportRacism.com's call to interrupt Trump for a $5000 prize. Trump joked back, “As a businessman, I can fully respect that.”
