Disturbing Video Makes Us Worry for Lark Voorhies

Actress defends her marriage, insists she's not bipolar.

Lark Voorhies has been keeping us up at night, and not just because there's always a rerun of Saved By the Bell on. The beloved actress, whose struggles with mental illness have been rumored for years, all but confirmed she is not in the best health in a rambling interview to Entertainment Tonight on Wednesday.
Her aim was to address her mother Tricia Holloway restraining order against her new husband Jimmy Green, who joined her for the interview, and to dispel claims that Green is a gang member who is “taking advantage” of her. Voorhies says her mother was initially supportive of their union. "The support was there," Lark says. "It's all celebratory."
Asked about her mother's doubts that Green has her best interest at heart, Voorhies got immediately defensive. "Did my mother call you?" she asked ET reporter Kevin Frazier, before replaying that "he's not" taking advantage, and they're "selectively together for all the right reasons."
As for Holloway's claims that Green physically threatened her, Green said he wasn’t “aggressive” toward his mother-in-law, but admitted to being “blunt and demanding.”
Voorhies and Green married in a secret wedding in Las Vegas last April, but Voorhies is still living with her mother and is under her care. Holloway revealed to People in 2012 that Voorhies suffers from bipolar disorder, a fact that the actress vehemently denies. Instead, she attributes her odd behavior to a “sweep with textbook clinical depression” stemming from her first marriage to Miguel Coleman.
