Halle Berry Takes Gabriel Aubry to Court for Straightening Daughter's Hair
Halle Berry and Gabriel Aubry's courtroom battle has hit a new low. According to TMZ, Berry took Aubry back to court today to force him to stop chemically altering the hair of their 6-year-old daughter, Nahla. Berry is claiming her ex has been getting the child’s hair straightened and even lightened it with highlights to make her appear less Black. The accusations come after Berry accused Aubry of using racial slurs against her and their daughter.
Berry wasn't present in court for the hearing but was represented by her attorney Steve Kolodny. The judge presiding over the case ruled that neither parent could alter Nahla’s hair from its natural state, and that from here on out, Nahla’s hair will grow back naturally.
The former couple's custody battle has become more and more contentious since their split in 2010. Just recently, the Oscar winner took Aubry to court to try and get her child support payments reduced from $16,000 a month, claiming Aubry refused to find work and was living off of the money intended for their child.
