Tracy Morgan Heads Home After Crash, Files Suit Against Wal-Mart
Tracy Morgan has been released from a rehabilitation center where he has been recovering from injuries he suffered in a fatal car crash last month. The 30 Rock star, who looked gaunt leaving the facility, will continue his "recovery efforts at home with an aggressive outpatient program," his rep confirms to Us Weekly.
Morgan will also have plenty of time to plan his lawsuit against Wal-Mart, whose truck crashed into the vehicle Morgan and his friends were riding in on their way home from a gig in Atlantic City. The six-car pileup killed Morgan's friend and comedy writer James McNair.
"Wal-Mart was careless and negligent in the ownership and operation of its motor vehicle, which caused Mr. Morgan to suffer severe personal injuries," the complaint, filed in New Jersey on Thursday, reads. "As a direct and proximate result of said collision, Mr. Morgan was caused to sustain severe painful bodily injuries, including but not limited to multiple fractures which required multiple surgeries, extensive medical treatment and will require significant physical rehabilitation."
In response, the company said in a statement it was "committed to doing the right thing for all involved."
