Kenan Thompson is the proud father of a baby girl, TMZ reports. The Saturday Night Live comedian and his wife, Christina Evangeline, welcomed their first child on Friday, June 20.

The couple named their daughter Georgia Marie Thompson. This is the first child for Thompson, 36, and Evangeline. News first broke of the couple's baby news in February, and Thompson went public with it during an appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers in early March. "I'm about to be a daddy!" he said at the time. "That's right! Papa Kenan." 

Asked whether he was ready for fatherhood, the actor joked, "I am terrified. I don't know what to do with babies." He also gave props to the women in the audience. "You go through a lot," he said. "I applaud you."
