Michael Jordan Files for Marriage License
Michael Jordan is one step closer to happily ever after. The NBA icon and fiancée Yvette Prieto filed for a marriage license in West Palm Beach, Florida.
According to state laws, the pair must wed within sixty days of filing for the license. TMZ reports the couple is due to wed on April 27.
It appears Jordan and his wife-to-be have weathered the recent paternity scandal, in which a woman sued the Chicago Bulls star for child support. Jordan admitted to fathering the 16-year-old while still married to his first wife, Juanita Vanoy. That divorce cost Jordan $168 million, one of the largest settlements in history.
Fun fact: another NBA legend, LeBron James, sent out the save-the-dates for his wedding to Savannah Brinson on the same day Jordan applied for his marriage license. Jordan and James were also engaged within days of each other.
