Evelyn Lozada Drops Chad Johnson Restraining Order
This holiday season appears to be healing old wounds. TMZ is reporting that Evelyn Lozada has dropped the restraining order she filed against former husband Chad Johnson. The ex-couple appeared in a Florida courtroom on Monday, the first time the pair has been seen together publicly since Johnson’s domestic violence arrest in August.
At the court hearing, a judge asked Evelyn if she was coerced or threatened into making the request to drop the order. Lozada said, “No.” She also replied in the negative when the judge inquired if she was afraid of Johnson.
As was previously reported, the Basketball Wives star filed the restraining order this past summer because Johnson head-butted her during an argument. The violence led to the quick end to the couple’s marriage after only one month.
To his credit, Johnson has continuously made public apologies for his past behavior. The former pro baller has appeared on TV and the Web admitting that he has an anger problem. Johnson has also announced that he is receiving professional help to manage his rage issues.
Sources say Lozada isn’t sure of the pair’s future relationship, but she hopes that they will at least be on speaking terms again.
