Cissy Houston and Bobbi Kristina Resolve Estate Issues
Just as the world got their first look into the lives of Whitney Houston’s family via their new reality show last week, more news has emerged that its members are healing past wounds.
TMZ is reporting that Cissy Houston is no longer attempting to postpone Bobbi Kristina Brown’s inheritance payment schedule. The two women have come to an agreement.
Recently, Cissy and Pat Houston, the co-executors of Whitney’s estate, filed legal papers to alter the payment schedule of the superstar’s fortune to her only daughter. Family sources feared the sum of Whitney's estate would be “too much, too soon” for Bobbi Kristina.
But thanks to Bobbi Kristina and Cissy's new agreement, the case has been dismissed. Sources say the original payment schedule will remain exactly the same. The 19-year-old will still receive her money in three future payments. The estimated $20 million amount will allegedly be disbursed as follows: when Bobbi Kristina turns 21 she receives $2 million, at age 25 she gets $4 million and at age 30 she inherits the balance of $16 million.
