As Fight Over Michael's Will Escalates, Jackson Family Unites at Concert
The Jackson family isn't going to let a little thing like a family civil war keep them from putting on a united front for their fans.
Katherine Jackson and her three grandchildren, Paris, Prince Michael and Blanket, turned up at the Jackson Brothers' Unity tour concert in Saratoga, New York, where they watched Marlon, Tito, Jackie and Jermaine perform. Jermaine, as we all know by now, is on the opposite side of the feud as the brothers he shared the stage with.
While Katherine arrived to a small round of applause and gave her sons a standing ovation at the end of their set, TMZ reports that Michael Jackson's three kids did not appear to be having a good time.
The show of unity didn't do much to slow down the drama brewing backstage. RadarOnline.com reports that Katherine is furious with her son Randy Jackson, considered to be leading the charge to overthrow Michael's will, for starting the drama.
"Katherine was completely unaware that Randy had orchestrated his siblings, signing a letter sent to the executors of Michael Jackson's estate demanding their immediate resignation," a source close to the situation tells Radar.
"Now that Katherine has been home for a few days, she recognizes that Randy was the one that planned this, and she is absolutely furious for him doing so. Katherine has never had a stroke or a mini-stroke as the ridiculous letter says. Katherine will never speak out publicly against her children, it's just not who she is. Behind the scenes, however, Katherine is extremely upset and disappointed in Randy's actions that have brought so much unwanted chaos into all of their lives."
Meanwhile, lawyers for the executors of Jackson's estate, John Branca and John McClain, have issued their own statement, barring Janet Jackson, Jermaine and several other family members from entering Katherine's Calabasas, California, estate.
The letter states, “Given the circumstances of the last two weeks, and in order to protect the children and Mrs. Jackson, the Executors believe that it would not be appropriate to allow the following individuals to enter the residence or its grounds and we instruct the security to preclude the following from entering the residence or the grounds: Randy Jackson and any of his children, Janet Jackson, Rebbie Jackson and any of her children, Jermaine Jackson, his wife and any of his children."
No word on what will be the next step in this ongoing legal battle, or the public one.
