Bobbi Kristina Brown is following in her famous parents' footsteps, and not always in a good way. After reports of alcohol and drug use had insiders worried she inherited her mother Whitney Houston's substance abuse problems, she is now reportedly close to signing a reality TV deal that would put her tumultuous life on camera, just as her father, Bobby Brown, did in 2005 with his show Being Bobby Brown.
RadarOnline.com reports that Bobbi Kristina has reached a verbal agreement with an unnamed cable network for her own reality show, and a deal is expected to be finalized shortly.
“This show is being done against her family’s advice,” a source said, adding that the series is likely to be a 'train wreck' because of Bobbi Kristina’s ongoing struggle with drugs and alcohol.
“Bobbi is scared the world will label her just like her mother,” another source close to the project said, adding that she is “obviously very wild and misguided.”
During meetings with the network, Bobbi K was "impaired," says the source, adding: “She was slurring her words and said: ‘I will show the world I am NOT my mother and will NOT walk in her shoes down her path,’ then seconds later would mutter, ‘My mother was just normal, completely normal, someone who did normal things. She just listened to all the wrong people — and did the wrong things.'"
The 19-year-old also reportedly told a source, “Something good might as well come out of all this bad stuff.”
Though a reality show doesn't seem like the best mechanism for healing, one can only hope she's right.
