Charlie Sheen to Release His Song With Snoop
For those who thought Charlie Sheen’s “Winning” word had been banished to pop culture’s catchphrase attic, now prepare yourself for the song.
According to the Los Angeles Times, “Winning” (the single) hits the airwaves today. As previously reported, in March the Sheenius entered what appeared to be a home studio with Snoop Dogg and Korn guitarist Rob Patterson to record some music, though no one confirmed if a tune would be released. Then Snoop appeared on George Lopez Tonight to say that his musical collaboration with Sheen would hit the airwaves, even encouraging his fans to stay tuned to Twitter for the debut. Now it’s here, and the makers of the song are pleased with the results.
"Look, it's a good song," Patterson told the Times hours after wrapping up his final My Violent Torpedo of Truth tour performance alongside his longtime pal Sheen. "But I honestly don't want people to take it seriously. It's meant to be fun and entertaining."
Sheen, on the other hand, was less modest about the song’s quality. "People will love the song," Sheen said. "Who doesn't like to be winning?"
