Rich The Kid Claims Discrimination After Getting Removed From Plane
Rich The Kid has gone public with claims of racial discrimination after a confrontation with airport personnel.
Complex reports that Rich The Kid went on Instagram Live on Dec. 4 and posted a tense video stating that airport staffers allegedly kicked him off of a plane for smoking — even as the rapper tells them that he doesn’t smoke.
"You on live now,” he said. “Since you want to racially discriminate me. Guess what? Look!" Rich said during the stream. "She's trying to tell me I smell like marijuana. I don't even smoke marijuana, woman. I don't smoke."
He continued, explaining that the world will see what he’s going through. “The world is going to know,” he said. “Your son—you have kids? He probably knows me. Since you want to play, you don't know who I am! She's trying to racially discriminate me, telling me I don't know what I'm doing, I'm high? I don't even smoke weed.”
In the middle of the situation, an employee can be heard telling the rapper that “race has nothing to do with it.”
