Boosie’s Son Posts Inflammatory Response To Father’s Critics After Offensive Zaya Wade Video
On Thursday (Feb. 20), Boosie BadAzz claimed that he had been turned away from a Planet Fitness location local to Jonesboro, Georgia due to his transphobic comments about Dwyane Wade and his transgender daughter, Zaya. Boosie alleged that a “manager who was gay” denied him service because of his comments and accused the individual of being racist towards him.
Now, Boosie’s teenage son, Torrence Hatch Jr., famously known by his rap moniker Tootie Raww, has come to his defense amid the backlash. Shortly after the Planet Fitness ordeal, Tootie Raww took to his Instagram Stories where he made it known how he feels about the people chastising his father and espoused similar anti-LBTQ views.
Amid the backlash, Boosie’s commentary, and it’s now-apparent influence on his son, discourse is taking off on social media about toxic masculinity, hyper-masculinity, and homophobia among other topics within the Black community. It has also brought to light a recent parental decision Boosie made in the past regarding one of his sons.
“The Zaya post that upset me more than any other was Boosie’s son [honestly],” a second person weighed in. “Because I’d almost forgotten how the impact of toxic parenting doesn’t end after children leave the house. That boy is going to grow up to be, in all likelihood, an incredibly bigoted adult.”
“This made me cry,” a third added. “Because he’s teaching his son this hate. Kids raised to think this way go to school and pick [on] kids like Zaya Wade. We are raising kids that will go to school and harm other kids. We should be ashamed, collectively.”
