In spite of Cardi B boldly swapping out lyrics on her “Motorsport” verse and her trying to convince the public that all is well since she told the world about her split from Offset, her husband of one year, it seems that this might not be the case at all.
Her Migos trapster hubby has no problem shows publicly declaring how much he misses his wife, but Bardi reportedly prefers to sulk in private. After announcing her impending divorce on Instagram, the Invasion of Privacy femcee was booked for a nightclub appearance on Wednesday night (Dec. 5) at Miami’s E11even during its Art Basel festivities. However, she didn’t arrive at the venue until 4 a.m. An hour prior, sources have said, she refused to leave her hotel.
“Cardi didn’t want to get out of bed,” the source reported to Page Six
Her team was “pushing” her to the car, but she seemed adamant about not wanting to go. Even some of her cherished Bardi Gang noticed that the rapper wasn’t her usual self. “She didn’t look like she was thrilled to be there… There wasn’t really any banter with the crowd.”
However, one thing seemed to cheer her up: money.
“Cardi didn’t look happy at all, and then someone brought her a big pile of singles,” a witness claimed. “It was a huge stack — thousands. It perked her up and put a smile on her face.” If it’s one thing the Bronx rapper loves more than anything, besides her daughter, it’s securing the bag.
