Trippie Redd Proves He's More Than Your Cookie-Cutter Soundcloud Rapper
Ohio native, Trippie Redd is more than his hard-hitting features and explosive rap beefs. The multi-faceted emcee blends three genres— rock, pop and R&B —to cultivate his own distinct style. At the tender age of 14, Trippie recorded his first song, inspired by Lil Wayne, T-Pain and iconic rock band Kiss and began to receive noted co-signs from his fellow budding rappers, including Lil Wop. He proceeded to drop his debut project, A Love Letter To You, and was featured on the late XXXTentacion's debut album, 17.
Trippie remained on a high and collabed with Travis Scott for "Dark Knight Dummo." It was rumored he was also set to be the co-star on Drake's "God's Plan." All of this landed Trippie a slot in XXL's 2018 Freshman class. His innovative style has rendered him a cult-following, comparisons to Lil Uzi Vert and was even labeled "Soundcloud's Frank Sintara." However, he's ready to prove he's much more than these labels.
