The Internet Is Convinced Cardi B Is Firing Shots At Offset In New 'Be Careful' Single
Exactly one week before the release of her long-awaited debut album, Bronx femcee Cardi B upped the ante with a brand new, Lauryn Hill-sampled single titled “Be Careful.”
The track arrived at midnight on Friday (March 30) and as the third single from Bardi’s forthcoming Invasion of Privacy project. But in contrast to “Bodak Yellow” and “Bartier Cardi,” the two club-jumping, hyphy bangers of the album, Cardi is pokerfaced for “Be Careful,” and fans believe she’s aiming at her fiancé Offset’s head for the new track.
“Gave you TLC, you wanna creep and sh**,” she raps on the first verse. “Poured out my whole heart to a piece of sh**. Man, I thought you would've learned your lesson, 'bout liking pictures, not returnin' texts/ I guess it's fine, man, I get the message.”
The weighty bars are taking the Bardi Gang to a more difficult time when the Migos rap star was tangled in the middle of a sex tape cheating scandal followed by more infamous accusations involving a lovechild with ill-famed InstaModel Celina Powell. Fans are certain such bars serve as a warning to Offset, who proposed to Cardi in October 2017, and are vibing out to the single accordingly. Others, however, are more concerned that “Be Careful” is a cautionary indicator that the debut album won’t live up to its hype.
