Allow Master P To Explain Why He Had A Sit-Down With Tomi Lahren
Master P threw the rap community a curveball earlier this week after he was spotted alongside tone-deaf political commentator Tomi Lahren.
But according to the seasoned mogul, the unlikely duo had a very "calm conversation."
During the Fox Insider exclusive, P and Lahren spoke at great length about Colin Kaepernick sparking NFL protests and the priorities of the Black Lives Matter movement. While much of the eyebrow raising interview led to inevitable backlash, the No Limit Records founder insists that it had to be done. "Every interview she's done has been hostile, it's been like a black or white thing. And, I just wanted to sit down and say, 'You know what, it's really not about that it's a people thing,'" P told TMZ.
The conservative reporter teased her interview with P ahead of its debut via social media with an eye-roll worthy Instagram photo and caption. Check it out below.
Interestingly enough, P cites Lahren's infamous interview with Charlamagne Tha God as the catalyst to his sit-down with the FOX host. "That whole interview with her and Charlamagne went so crazy, I said, 'You know what, let me just have a calm conversation and let her know from our perspective what it is," he explained.
"It was an interview that needed to be done," he added.
As for being read for filth by Black Twitter, P had a rebuttal for that as well. "Somebody really has to sit down and have a sensible conversation," he explained to the hosts when asked about the backlash he received. "I don't really have nothing bad against her. I mean she never did me anything and I feel how you fight hate is with love."
