Kodak Black Apologizes For Throwing Shots At Lil Wayne
Nearly a year ago, Kodak Black made use of his Twitter fingers to proclaim that he was the "best rapper alive." Along with the inflated statement, the Project Baby took a jab at Lil Wayne, and the bizarre trolling that followed still has many fans questioning his intent.
But it appears as though Kodak is ready to let bygones be bygones and issue somewhat of an apology to the hip-hop vet.
On Sunday (Sept. 17), Kodak clarified what provoked his one-sided beef with Weezy via Instagram, and it's safe to say that he's blaming it on the alcohol. During the live stream, the rapper admitted that he is in fact a fan of the Young Money frontman. "Look, I f**k with Wayne," he began his lengthy statement. "That 'Blowing Up Fast' made me write my first rap."
"He tried to smurf a n*gga, like he don't know who I am and sh*t," he continued. "So, one day I was on that Patron and Grey Goose. I said it but I listen to his music."
While Kodak's attempt at an apology seems a bit mild mannered, we're sure Weezy isn't losing a good night's sleep over it considering he probably has no clue who the Florida rapper even is. But what's even more noteworthy is that drunken words are oftentimes sober thoughts.
