What's Happening in This 'Kill Jay Z' Visual?
JAY-Z is seriously making the anticipation for his fourteenth studio album dangerous, and we mean that in the most literal of sense after he released a cryptic preview of the apparent “Kill Jay Z” visuals.
In the black-and-white filtered clip, a young boy is seen hastily running away from an unidentified source. The camera pans slowly away from his face in the 21 seconds we witness his frantic getaway, revealing his black T-shirt that reads, “STAY BLACK.”
In normal 4:44 promo fashion, the video abruptly cuts to the details of Jay’s forthcoming album with no details of what we just watched left to spare. Although we haven’t heard words straight from the Roc Nation emperor himself about the specifics of the project, his viral hints have led us to a few possible conclusions. For one, he’ll be including huge Academy Award-winning names like Lupita Nyong’o and Mahershala Ali, at least in the album’s visual aspects, and will be unlocking the album from the vault on June 30.
