Tory Lanez Wants You to Put Some Respek on Lil Wayne's Name
Despite Florida’s young rap sensation Kodak Black attempting to strip Lil Wayne of his “Greatest Rapper Alive” title, Toronto’s VIP R&B and rap star Tory Lanez is giving credit where it’s due by resubmitting the crown back to Weezy.
Tweeting his salutation to the Young Money founder, Tory Lanez declared on Wednesday (Jan. 18) that the day we see Wayne’s grave will also be accompanied by his legend as the greatest rapper of his era.
“Lil Wayne will die the best rapper of his time and era,” Lanez tweeted in all caps for extra emphasis, of course. “N****s gotta stop the bulls**t and give the man his credit.”
While there’s no direct mention as to who’s withholding Weezy’s just due, Kodak’s recent anti-Tunechi sentiments can’t help but come to mind. The Project Baby tweeted that he would be the one to nab the honorary title from the New Orleans native, followed by crude dialogue and a challenge for Weezy to battle him for the crown in the boxing ring. Though Wayne has yet to pay the Project Baby any mind, Lanez and Wayne’s 18-year-old daughter, Reginae Carter, beg to differ in place of his silence.
