Yesterday a photo of one of the most romantic billboard advertisements in recent years started circulating, with thousands taking to Twitter to hashtag the infamous #RelationshipGoals and comment on the gesture.

Drizzy decided to post up a message of congratulations to Rihanna, in advance of her receiving the coveted Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards.

While the billboard itself made history in its own right, something incredible happened: Rihanna decided to show love right back.

While the singer’s lack of social media PDA has resulted in people wondering for years if the pair were romantically involved, last night Rihanna took to Instagram to post the reaction we all hoped she would, giving us life in the process.

“When he extra,” she captioned her repost of the photo of the billboard, adorning it with a heart and a trophy emoji.

Short, sweet, simple and to the point. A perfect response, especially because an image and gesture like that is worth much more a thousand words.
